Halliwell Jones, the north-west based dealer group has acquired
BMW/MINI dealership Premier Cars of Llandudno. The £6.7m purchase,
which will save 40 jobs at the site, was funded through the
Corporate Banking Centre of the Co-operative Bank.

 Halliwell Jones, which has dealerships in Chester, Southport,
Warrington and on the Wirral, is ranked third among UK dealers in
terms of profit per employee, according to a recent survey. It had
turnover in 2006 of over £130m and 300 staff.

 Senior corporate manager at the Co-operative Bank, Cheryl
Gillings said: “This acquisition has major benefits for both
parties concerned and the Premier dealership will receive increased
investment in its employees and sales processes.  Premier will
certainly be a valuable addition to the Halliwell Jones Group
portfolio.”
