Inchcape Fleet Solutions has completed
a major evaluation exercise to determine which vehicles are best
suited for transporting dogs.

The vehicles will be supplied to UK
charity Guide Dogs, with which last year it won a major contract to

The vehicles were chosen following a
recent beauty parade of 17 estate cars, MPVs and car-derived vans,
during which more than 20 Guide Dogs’ employees assessed the
operational efficiency of each vehicle.

When choosing each vehicle, Inchcape
Fleet Solutions took into account vehicle MPG and carbon dioxide
emissions, specification and insurance groupings.

Inchcape Fleet Solutions co-ordinated
the event along with Telford-based van racking and vehicle
conversion specialist Qi Van Systems, which hosted the evaluation
day; Welwyn Garden City-based The Window Tinting Company; and
Atherstone-based dog cage provider Athag Ltd, which trades as
Guardsman.
