A major effort has been launched by
Mazda Motor Europe to build up its fleet business. Although around
half of all Mazda’s European fleet sales are in the UK and the
Netherlands, the Japanese company made clear that it plans to
expand its fleet business across Europe, including in parts of
Central Europe, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and
Switzerland.

currently represents less than 15% of European volumes, Mazda Motor
Europe has made several key hires in recent weeks
(On the move, Mazda Motor

Mazda’s current fleet expansion plans
could prove lucrative for its leasing and fleet manager partners,
including ALD Automotive, Arval, ING Car Lease and LeasePlan.
Included among the manufacturer’s end-user fleet clients are Bosch,
GE and Siemens.
Mazda’s UK and Dutch fleet businesses,
meanwhile, are being used by Mazda “as the template for Mazda’s
European fleet development”, Mazda said in a statement.
