Points can be used either as part-payment or to buy a vehicle
outright, and a Tesco spokesman estimated that a typical family who
regularly shop at Tesco and receive £25-worth of Clubcard vouchers
per quarter could therefore redeem £800 against a car purchased
from Motorpoint by saving up two years’-worth of points.

Steve McArdle, director of Tesco Freetime said: “The introduction
of Motorpoint to our Deals scheme now gives our high points earners
the chance to save a considerable amount on one of their biggest
purchases.”

Managing director of Motorpoint, David Shelton said: “We are
committed to offering our customers a vast choice of new and nearly
new cars at unbeatable prices, which makes our partnership with
Tesco a natural fit.”
