The leased Toyota Avensis, worth around £17,000, was
stolen in Cheshire and recovered in Bradford after police were able
to track the signal from its onboard ProFleet2 system.
The vehicle was on lease to the Morelli Group. Steve Shaw, head
of operations at Morelli said: “We use ProFleet2 mainly to ensure
that our vehicles are serviced on schedule, which is important from
both a duty of care viewpoint and ensuring costs are
controlled.
“The fact that the technology has the ability to help police
recover one of our leased vehicles is a bonus. We are very pleased
the vehicle has been returned.”
